The balance between function and scenography: designing for a large family

Located in the heart of Darsena, this renovation and interior design project represents the perfect synthesis between the practical needs of a large family and the pursuit of sophisticated aesthetics. ColabDesign's intervention has transformed each room into a space where attention to technical detail enhances everyday comfort.

The Precision of Detail

The architectural value of the house is defined by precise structural choices. In the bathrooms, we opted for the installation of large slabs with Jolly processing: a sophisticated technique that eliminates visible joints, creating continuous, sculptural volumes.

Technical lighting has been integrated to emphasize the new volumes, while the living room has been redesigned around the new fireplace and wall coverings, creating a warm and contemporary atmosphere.

The Kitchen: Matter and Contrast

The heart of the home is a Doimo Cucine D23 model kitchen, featuring 30° angled doors. We played with contrasting materials to give depth to the space:

• Columns: Platinum Satin Lacquer.

• Island: Syncroface Olmo Moro.

• Top: Black striped marble ceramic.

• Details: Bronzed glass display cabinets and SMEG appliances.

With a view to optimizing space, we have integrated a retractable laundry column directly into the kitchen, maintaining visual order without sacrificing functionality.

Bedroom: Wood paneling and smart organization

In the master bedroom, elegance is provided by timeless framed paneling, while for the children's bedrooms we have chosen wallpaper with a contemporary design.

The Veneran walk-in closet solves the dilemma between aesthetics and practicality. A mix of lacquered doors and bronzed glass allows you to hide everyday clutter and protect against dust, while maintaining visual lightness. Despite their impressive height of 2.90 m, the doors are extremely easy to handle thanks to their hollow-core construction.
